Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 4 years 1 month and till date, trial has not been concluded.

Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and submits that only two investigating officers are to be examined by the Trial Court. Having considered the period of detention, learned Trial Court is directed to expedite the process so that evidence of the prosecution witnesses are closed within a period of sixty days.

Having regard to the final stages of the case before the learned Trial Court, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

The application for bail, being CRM (M) 2066 of 2025, is, thus, dismissed.
