1. The petitioner claims to be the wife of the respondent no.

15. She prays for issuance of a dependant card in her favour.

2. Learned advocate representing the private respondent produces the copy of the order passed by the Principal Judge, Family Court, Meerut on 6th January, 2025 in Matrimonial Suit No. 1435 of 2022 passed under Section 13 (1) (1a) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 in support of the submission that the decree of divorce has been granted and the marriage between the parties stood dissolved with effect from 6th January, 2025.

3. There is nothing on record to suggest that the decree of divorce has been set aside and/or modified by any Court of competent jurisdiction.

4. In view of the above, no direction can be passed in favour of the petitioner. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.

5. It will be open for petitioner to approach the competent forum for remedy, in accordance with law, if so advised.

6. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
