1. By way of public interest litigation the petitioner alleges that the private respondents are illegally running a puffed rice mill.

2. In this regard, complaint was lodged before the Sub-Divisional Officer, Contai by the petitioner and the villagers and the said complaint has been taken on file and a hearing was fixed on 29.08.2023 by the SubDivisional Officer.

3. The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner would submit that the hearing has been concluded but till date no orders have been passed.

4. In the light of the above facts without going into the merits of the allegations made by the petitioner as against the private respondent no.9, we direct the Sub-Divisional Officer, Contai to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law and communicate the same

to the writ petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the server copy of this order.

5. With the above observation, the writ petition stands disposed of.
