Mr. Somnath Bose ...for the respondents When the matter is called on for hearing, the petitioner remains unrepresented. Learned advocate for the respondents is present. It appears from the office report dated 26th August, 2021 that notice of pendency of the instant writ petition was served upon the advocate on record by the department. In spite of service of such notice, the learned advocate on record has not appeared. Therefore, this Court has every reason to hold that the petitioner is not interested to proceed with the case.

Accordingly, the instant writ petition is dismissed for default.

With the dismissal of the main application the connected application is also treated to be disposed of.
