Dismissed that the petitioner is in custody for 1 year 6 months and till date there is hardly any progress in the trial and only 6 witnesses have been examined out of proposed 16 witnesses to be examined by the prosecution.

Learned advocate for the State submits that the petitioner was identified in the T.I. Parade. Having considered the gravity of the offence, I am of the view that the prosecution should be granted some more opportunity to conclude the trial. Learned trial court is directed to conclude rest of the 10 witnesses or the number of witnesses proposed to be examined by the prosecution by 15th May, 2026. At this stage, CRM(M) 2083 of 2025 is dismissed. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
