The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition being aggrieved by the inaction of the respondent authorities for not granting electricity connection to the petitioner despite the petitioner deposited the quotation amount as demanded by the respondent authorities.

It is the case of the petitioner that he has applied for the electricity connection for his submersible pump set for irrigation purpose vide application no. 3001497747. The petitioner has deposited the quotation amount vide receipt dated 12.04.2022. However, no electricity connection had been granted to the petitioner till date.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that they have conducted a physical inspection of the Petitioner's premises and noted the following major discrepancies. (i) no electric room (ii) no boring as per

norms of SWID (iii) other incomplete electric wiring etc. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that no electricity connection can be granted without rectifying these discrepancies.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that he shall comply with all the necessary formalities within a period of four weeks. Learned counsel for the petitioner further states that the respondent authorities can carry out further inspection after a period of four weeks and if all the compliances as required by the respondent authorities have been fulfilled by the petitioner, the Respondent authorities shall provide the electric connection as per the rules and regulations.

In view of the statement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent authorities to carry out an inspection after a period of four weeks. If the respondent authorities are satisfied with the compliances carried out by the petitioner for installation of a fresh electric connection, they shall provide the electric connection to the petitioner within a period of three weeks thereafter in terms of the rules and regulations.

With the above direction, the present writ petition is disposed of.
