Having regard to the nature of the act and the purpose for which the proceedings were initiated and the fact that there has been compounding of the offence, I am of the view that further continuation of SPL (IE) Case No. 80 of 2016 arising out of Bidhannagar North P.S. Case No. 311 of 2015 dated 17.12.2015 under section 135(1)(a) of the Electricity Act pending before the ld. Addl. District Judge (Special Court) 4th Court, North 24 Parganas, Barasat, is hereby quashed.

Accordingly, CRR 4074 of 2022 is allowed.

Pending application, if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
