Heard learned counsels for the parties.

The prayers of the petitioner are two fold;

First, the petitioner seeks police protection in order to avoid any untoward incident that he apprehends due to demand of dues by the contractors employed in the company. Second, the petitioner seeks to be provided with the list of cases that are pending against it. The petitioner company is entrusted with the job of electrical distribution work awarded by the WBSEDCL. The company is undergoing proceedings under the National Company Law Tribunal at present. An application has been made by the petitioner before the Officer in Charge, Baruipur Police Station seeking police protection.

Learned counsel for the State submits that such application is generally dealt with by the Superintendent of Police.

In view of the above, the Officer in Charge, Baruipur Police Station is directed to forward the application submitted by the petitioner dated August 20, 2025 to the Superintendent of Police, Baruipur Police District for taking necessary steps in this regard. Also, the Superintendent of Police, Baruipur Police District is directed to furnish a list of cases/proceedings pending against the petitioner to the petitioner within seven days from date.

In the meantime, the police authority is directed to render necessary assistance to the petitioner as and when required.

With the above observations and directions this writ petition is disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
