1. In terms of the order dated 29.8.2024 the Additional District Magistrate (General), Bankura has filed the report. The operative portion of the report is as follows:

"It also appears that concrete boundary walls already exist on the east, west, and southern

sides of the school. However, the northern side of the school, measuring approximately 247 feet, never existed since inception.

From the report submitted by the Pradhan, Ranibandh Gram Panchayat, it appears that a wall measuring about 14 feet, belonging to a temporary shop and adjacent to the northern boundary of the school was demolished to make way for an approach road towards the nearby burning ghat. This wall was not inside the boundary of the school. The Gram Panchayat, together with the Ranibandh Panchayat Samiti has fenced the entire 247 feet northern boundary of the school with barbed wire on a temporary basis. Copies of the reports from the Block Development Officer, Ranibandh and the Pradhan, Ranibandh Panchayat Samiti are enclosed.

The Ranibandh Panchayat Samiti has also assured that the construction of a concrete boundary wall for Ranibandh Junior Basic School has been included in the 2025-26 plans under the 5th State Finance Commission. Construction of the boundary wall to the 247 feet northern boundary will be made as soon as the fund is received.

The District Inspector of Schools (Primary Education), Bankura has also submitted a report vide his Memo No. 72/P dated 10.02.2025 (copy enclosed). As per the said report, he had caused an enquiry in compliance of the above stated Solemn Order of the Hon'ble High Court."

The above undertaking given is placed on record and the Additional District Magistrate (General), Bankura as well as the District Magistrate shall ensure that the Panchayat Samiti should abide by the assurance given and construct the concrete boundary wall for Ranibandh Junior Basic School including in the year 2025-26 plan under the Fifth State Finance Commission the length of 247 ft. on the northern side.

3. With the above direction, the contempt application stands disposed of.
