1. Petitioner is in custody for more than six years. He prays for bail on the ground of delay.

2. The report is placed on record.

3. Learned lawyer for the State submits date has been fixed for examination of accused under Section 313 Cr. P. C. on 05.01.2024.

4. In view of the matured stage of the proceeding and as the offence if proved, would attract mandatory life imprisonment, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
