The writ application has been preferred praying for police protection to stop unauthorized entry and trespassing into the I.Q. City Health & Knowledge Campus at Durgapur wherein an untoward incident has occurred recently and the police authorities are investigating the same.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State has fairly submitted that the petitioners are entitled to such protection but the police station has been wrongly mentioned.

It is submitted by the petitioners that they have made the said police station a party as the case has been registered in that area.

Considering that both the police stations are under the same police Commissionerate, the Commissioner of Police, Durgapur-Asansol Police Commissionerate shall take necessary steps to ensure that no untoward incident takes place within the premises of I.Q. City Health & Knowledge Campus at Durgapur. The Commissioner of Police shall ensure sufficient police picketing which the petitioner submits may be at their cost. The police authorities shall ensure that no unauthorized person is permitted entry into the premises until further orders.

With the above direction, the present writ petition is disposed of.

Since no affidavits have been filed by the respondents, the allegations made in the writ petition shall not be deemed to have been admitted.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Let urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties on usual undertaking.
