1. Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today be kept on record.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner points out that upon the demise of the petitioner's father, who was a freedom fighter, the petitioner's mother had been receiving the freedom fighters' pension under the relevant scheme.

On the demise of the petitioner's mother in the year 2021, the petitioner, who is a 90% physically disabled person, being the son of

the freedom fighter, applied for getting such pension in place of his mother.

3. Such representation, it is submitted, is required to be considered by the respondent authorities.

4. Heard learned counsel for the parties, including the Additional Solicitor General.

5. In view of the innocuous nature of the prayer made by the petitioner, no affidavits are directed in this matter. It is deemed that none of the allegations made in the writ petition are admitted by any of the respondents.

6. WPA No. 23926 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner dated February 15, 2023, annexed at page 26 of the writ petition, as expeditiously as possible, positively within a month from date and intimate in writing the outcome of the same to the petitioner.

7. There will be no order as to costs.

8. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities. (Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.)
