The petitioners being the accused persons have filed the instant revision for quashing of a criminal proceeding being Dumdum Police Station Case No.845 of 2021 dated 4th August, 2021 under Sections 498A/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

During pendency of the case the dispute between the parties have been amicably settled.

It is submitted by the learned Advocates for both the parties that both the husband and wife are residing together and there is no matrimonial discord between the wife/opposite party and other petitioners. On the last occasion, this Court called for a report from the Investigating Officer of the case to ascertain as to whether the fact of settlement is voluntary and free from any coercion, threat or undue influence.

It is reported by the Investigating Officer that dispute have been amicably settled by the parties and they are residing together. In view of such circumstances, the instant revision is disposed of on the basis of a joint application for settlement. Dumdum Police Station Case No.845 of 2021 dated 4th August, 2021 presently pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Barrackpore be quashed.

Both the revisional application and connected application are accordingly disposed of.

The report be kept with the record.
