1. Report of the Commission filed in Court today be retained with the records.

2. The petitioners are aggrieved by the educational qualification prescribed by the Commission for recruitment of Special Education Teachers in classes V to X.

3. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are diploma holder in Special Education who are eligible to be recruited as Special Education Teachers. According to the petitioners, their qualification is suited for teaching students up to the upper primary level.

4. The petitioners are aggrieved as the qualification of diploma has not been included in the recruitment notification.

5. On a perusal of the documents annexed to the writ petition, it appears that the recruitment notification was published on 9th September, 2025 and the last date for

filing the application was 24th September, 2025. The petitioners approached this Court by filing the writ petition on 14th October, 2025.

6. Had the petitioners been genuinely aggrieved by the educational qualification prescribed in the recruitment notice, the petitioners ought to have approached the Court at the very first instance and particularly within the time limit of filing the application.

7. In the case at hand, the petitioners have approached the Court long after the expiry of the time limit for filing the application in response to the said notification.

The Court is of the opinion that the prayer of the petitioners directing the Commission to accept the application of the petitioners cannot be allowed at this belated stage as the Commission has already prescribed a time limit for filing the applications and the petitioners have not come out with any special reason for not approaching the Court within the validity period of the recruitment notice. At such delayed point of time, the Court is not inclined to accept the prayer of the petitioners.

9. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.
