The writ petitioner has a two-fold prayer. He seeks protection from the private respondent no. 6/wife. The petitioner is unable to attend his government service because of alleged threat by the private respondent no. 6/wife.

The petitioner also wants the private respondent no. 6/wife to come back and live with him. The private respondent no. 6 does not wish to reside with the petitioner and has filed a Matrimonial Suit No. 150 of 2023 before the learned Additional District Judge, Contai seeking divorce.

The petitioner may seek appropriate remedies in the aforesaid civil suit against the private respondent no. 6/wife.

Contai Police has already assured the petitioner that he may safely attend to his duties as a teacher in the local school.

The writ petition is disposed of without any further order.

Instructions of the Contai Police Station dated 27.02.2023 is taken on record.

There will be no order as to costs.
