However, on behalf of the State, it has been pointed out that in a Special Leave to Appeal being SPA (Crl.) No. 11906 of 2025, by an order dated 08.09.2025, the Hon'ble Apex Court directed the petitioner to revive his prayer for bail, in case the trial is not concluded within a period of six months from 8th September, 2025. However, the said period is still not over and it has been submitted on behalf of the State that 24 witnesses have already been examined and, few more witnesses are left to be completed.

Having considered the stage of the case, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

Accordingly, CRM(NDPS) 1344 of 2025 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
