The petitioner's father worked as an Assistant Group-II of Beldih Apatite Mines, Purulia. He died-inharness on July 15, 2009. The petitioner's mother made an application for compassionate appointment of the petitioner on August 29, 2009. Thereafter, various requests and/or reminders have been given by the petitioner/ his mother for appointment of the petitioner on compassionate ground.

Mr. Sinha, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that despite repeated representations there has been no response from the respondent authorities. Therefore, the petitioner was constrained to file the instant writ petition. Mr. Saha, learned counsel appears on behalf of the respondent Nos.3, 4 and 5.

Having considered the submissions of the parties and the materials placed on record, this Court

directs the respondent No.5 to consider the petitioner's representation dated June 23, 2022 along with previous representations and dispose of the same by way of a reasoned order, in terms of the extant rules and policies of the West Bengal Minerals Development Trading Corporation Limited.

Let such representation be disposed of within six weeks from date upon giving a personal hearing to the petitioner. Let such order be communicated within two weeks of passing thereof.

Since no affidavits have been called in the present writ petition, all allegations contained therein are deemed not to have been admitted by the parties. With the directions aforesaid, WPA 24377 of 2022 is disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copies of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Hon'ble Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
