Mr. Dwijadas Pattanayak ...for the petitioner Mr. Swapan Kumar Chatterjee ...for the State Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

Petitioner is a retired headmistress of a Government aided Secondary School who superannuated on 30th June, 2019.

Due to superannuation of the petitioner first pension payment order was issued on 18th June, 2019 releasing retiral dues in her favour. Subsequently, due to revision of pay as per ROPA 2019 revised pension payment order was issued on 13th March, 2022. Petitioner claims interest on revised gratuity due to delayed payment.

State respondents are represented by learned advocates.

Accordingly, the Director of Pension Provident Fund and Group Insurance and the concerned Treasury Officer are directed to pay

interest at the rate of 8% per annum to the petitioner on revised gratuity in terms of revised pension payment order from 14th February, 2020 till the date of release of revised gratuity, within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. Since no affidavit is called for, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.

With the above observation, the writ petition stands disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
