Petitioner is in custody for five months. He prays for bail. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Statements of eye witnesses show petitioner struck the victim lady in the stomach. As a result, she succumbed to her injuries. In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
