Heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the State respondents, namely, respondent nos.1 to 4.

Their grievance of the petitioner today is that despite the matter being pending before the West Bengal Administrative Tribunal ('Tribunal' for short) for about three years, reply has not been filed by the State respondents.

When the matter was last taken up, we had requested the learned A.A.G. to take instructions in the matter. He has come back with instructions and informs the Court that for some reason or the other no steps have been taken for filing the reply before the Tribunal till date.

He fairly acknowledges the requirement of filing a reply expeditiously.

In the circumstances, we consider it appropriate that a reply be filed before the Tribunal so as to expedite consideration of the matter pending in O.A. No. 65 of 2022 within four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order before the respondents.

The Writ Petition being W.P.S.T. No. 226 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
