1. Heard the learned Counsel for the parties.

2. Considering the materials available in the case diary, the nature and extent of complicity of the petitioner in the commission of the alleged offence, the statement of the de facto complainant which clearly implicates the husband of the deceased and the husband of the deceased is presently in custody and he appears to be the principal accused and having regard to the role ascribed to the present petitioner, who is the father-in-law of the deceased and moreover, the charge-sheet has already been filed, we are of the view that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not necessary.

3. Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner namely, Sanjoy Das, shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/-, with two registered sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also subject to Signed By :

the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C., 1973 corresponding to Section 482(2) of the BNSS, 2023.

4. It is further directed that the petitioner shall appear before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Krishnagar, Nadia in connection with SL Case No.1264 of 2024 within two weeks from date.

5. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is disposed of.
