The grievance of the petitioners is directed against the failure of the Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) being the respondent nos. 2 and 3 in not disbursing compensation to the petitioners.

It is alleged on behalf of the petitioners that the petitioners are the owners of the subject premises which has been acquired by the respondent nos. 2 and 3.

It is further submitted by the petitioners that the private respondents have wrongfully, illegally and fraudulently obtained compensation in respect of the subject premises from the respondent nos. 2 and 3 and have defrauded the petitioners. The petitioners have also made police complaints as well as complaints to the DVC in respect of the same. The State is represented and submits that they have no role to play in the grievance of the petitioner and they cannot redress the same.

In view of the factual and private disputes which arise for consideration, I am of the view that the this petition is not maintainable.

The petitioners are granted liberty to approach the appropriate fora in respect of their grievances. With the aforesaid directions, WPA 22474 of 2019 stands disposed off.

I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the case of the petitioners and nothing in this order will be binding on the fora which the petitioners approach, if so advised, to consider her grievance in accordance with law.
