Imam Mr. Abhishek Verma ... for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for about 387 days and charge-sheet has already been submitted.

Learned advocate for the State has drawn the attention of the court to the injury report.

However, I find that the nature of the injury and the accusations so made in the FIR are corroborated. Morever, the offences are grievous offences.

However, having considered the period of detention of the present petitioner, I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Allowed.

Accordingly, the petitioner viz, Jitendra Yadav @ Jitendra Ghosh shall be released on bail upon furnishing

bond of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand only), with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned ACJM, Jangipur. If on bail, the petitioner shall stay at the neighbouring district at Malda and will not enter the jurisdiction of Farakka Police Station except for the purposes of meeting with the Officer-in-charge of Farakka Police Station once in a week. The petitioner shall also make himself physically available on each and every date so fixed by the learned trial court.

In case, the petitioner do not cooperate with the progress of the trial and is absent without any justifiable cause, the learned Magistrate and/or the trial court would be entitled to cancel the bail without further reference to this court.

Accordingly, CRM(M) 2161 of 2025 is allowed.
