It is the grievance of the petitioner that despite retiring as a permanent Technical Assistant Gr.-II from the relevant university on August 31, 2022, his pensionary benefits have not yet been released. It appears that regarding release of the pensionary benefits of the petitioner, some clarifications were sought by the Deputy Secretary, Agricultural Department, State of West Bengal by a letter dated July 17, 2023. In the given circumstances, I dispose of this writ petition giving a direction upon the Registrar of Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya to furnish the required information in response to the aforesaid letter dated July 17, 2023, within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order.

The Department of Agriculture shall take necessary decision with regard to the release of pensionery benefits of the petitioner within a fortnight from the date of receipt of the response from the university.

WPA 24075 of 2023 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
