1. The writ petitioners and the respondents/State are represented through their respective counsel.

2. At the time of hearing, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioners at the very outset draws the attention of ours to page nos. 44 to 47 of the instant writ petition, being a copy of the order dated 25th September, 2023 passed by a coordinate Bench of this Court in W.P.A.(P) 509 of 2023, whereby and whereunder while disposing of the said writ petition, the said coordinate Bench granted liberty to the writ petitioners to approach the Government with appropriate representation.

3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioners submits that soon thereafter,

i.e. on 25th August, 2025, a representation was submitted to the respondent no.1/authority. However, the respondent no.

1/authority has not paid any heed to it.

4. After careful consideration of the entire materials as placed before this Court and after hearing the learned advocates for the contending parties, we direct the respondent no.

3/the District Magistrate, Purba Medinipur to consider a copy of the instant writ petition as a representation of the writ petitioners and after giving an opportunity of hearing to the writ petitioners and/or their authorised representative, shall pass a reasoned order and shall forthwith communicate the same to the writ petitioners preferably by e-mail, if the e-mail address is provided to him by the writ petitioners at the time of hearing.

5. The respondent no.3/authority is directed to pass such reasoned order positively within four weeks from the date of communication of server copy of this order.

6. Liberty is granted to the learned advocate on record of the writ petitioners to communicate the server copy of this order along with a copy of the instant writ petition to the respondent

no. 3/authority forthwith. The respondent no.3/authority is directed to act on the server copy of this order.

7. With the aforementioned observations, W.P.A. (P) 460 of 2025 is disposed of.
