...for the petitioner This is an application for expeditious disposal of the G.R. Case No. 252 of 2020 presently pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bongaon, North 24 Parganas.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that charge-sheet was submitted on 10th August, 2021, thereafter, 21st December, 2023 was fixed for charge hearing which was deferred to 17th September, 2025 and thereafter, again it was adjourned to 17th August, 2027.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner it appears that the prayer made by the petitioner is innocuous and if it is disposed of in terms of the prayer made in the petition, the opposite party/State will have no cause to prejudice. As such, service of copy of application upon the opposite parties are hereby dispensed with.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and that the matter is pending for a considerable period of time, I find that the prayer is justified and required to be allowed for the ends of justice.

In such view of the mater, the instant application being CRR 4648 of 2025 is hereby disposed of with a direction upon the Court below to fix a date for charge hearing in the month of March, 2026 after serving notice upon all the parties about preponing of the date and he will conduct charge hearing on that day or within a period of thirty (30) days thereafter and he will be at liberty to take any steps to secure attendance of the accused persons on the date of charge hearing.
