Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. The petitioners complained to the police authorities on 16.08.2024 alleging amongst others that there was some form of extortion when the representatives of the petitioners were surveying land for construction of boundary wall.

State has submitted a report which reflects that pursuant to such complaint being received, steps have been taken and Golf Green Police Station Case No. 217 dated 01.10.2024 was registered for investigation under Sections 308(2)/351(3) of BNS. A notice has also been served upon the de facto complainant.

However, the prayer in the writ petition is for police picket. To that effect, the petitioners would approach the appropriate police authorities who would consider the representation and decide the same in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 25056 of 2024 is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
