IN Re: CRAN 1 of 2024 1.

The petitioner was granted bail by an order dated December 18, 2023, passed in CRM (NDPS) 1648 of 2023, inter alia, on the condition that he shall remain within Kaliachak Police Station and shall meet the Officer in Charge, Kaliachak Police Station once in a week until further orders. He says that he has been scrupulously adhering to the conditions of bail. He says that he is a daily labourer and confining him to the jurisdiction of Kaliachak Police Station is adversely affecting his livelihood. 2.

The State files a report. Let the same be kept with the records.

From the report, we find that the petitioner has been complying with the bail conditions.

In view of the aforesaid and in view of the fact that the bail conditions of which he seeks relaxation, may be adversely affecting his livelihood, we are inclined to allow this application.

Accordingly, the condition requiring the petitioner to remain within Kaliachak Police Station is waived. However, he shall at all material times, remain within the geographical limits of the State of West Bengal. In so far as meeting the Officer in Charge of the Kaliachak Police Station is concerned, it will be sufficient for him to report to the Officer in Charge, Suti Police Station, Murshidabad once every month, where he resides. All other conditions of bail remain unaltered.

CRAN 1 of 2024 is, thus, disposed of.
