1. By way of public interest litigation the petitioner seeks for a direction upon the authorities to take appropriate action to prevent the spread of Dengue.

2. It is not clear as to why the petitioner has impleaded the various news channels and the press media which, in our opinion, is uncalled for.

3. Therefore, the respondent nos.8 to 15 are struck off from the array of parties.

4. It is represented by the learned advocate for the respondent State that effective steps have been taken by the State to prevent the menace and the public are also being sensitised in the matter.

5. In the light of the steps taken by the government in this regard, we are of the view that based on the material placed in this writ petition no other directions are required to be given to the respondent State.

6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of.
