Affidavit-in-reply filed on behalf of the applicant is taken on record.

The applicant is the retired Headmaster of Joykrishnapur High School, District: Purba Burdwan. On attaining the age of superannuation, he has retired from the said service on January 31, 2022.

The applicant, alleging non-disbursement of his provident fund amount, had filed the writ petition being WPA 8082 of 2022. This Court, by order dated May 15, 2023 had disposed of the said writ petition by directing the Managing Committee of the school to take steps for release of the provident fund amount of the applicant as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law. The applicant, alleging willful and deliberate violation of the said order, has filed the instant application for contempt. The alleged contemnors have filed their affidavit-inopposition to the application and at paragraph 6 of it, have specifically stated that though there was some unintentional delay but the direction of this Court has been complied with. Perused the said affidavit, the delay in complying the direction of this Court has been properly explained, as such, the application for contempt, being WPCRC 74 of 2025 is disposed of. Accordingly, the rule stands discharged. There shall however be no any order as to costs.
