1. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the husband of the alleged victim. The marriage took place two years ago. The petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the State strongly opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He relies on the case diary and the injury report. As per the victim, she was forced to ingest herbicide. She had to be treated in a hospital for six days.

3. Considering the incriminating materials available in the case diary and the alleged role ascribed to the petitioner, I do not consider this to be a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected.

5. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with requisite formalities.
