The petitioner is aggrieved that in spite of his representation dated August 13, 2019, being duly forwarded by the Assistant Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, to the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education, vide letter dated July 24, 2017, with a request to look into the prayer of the petitioner as per existing rules, no steps have yet been taken by the said respondent/ West Bengal Board of Primary Education, in considering and disposing of the petitioner's prayer vide his letter dated August 13, 2019. Hence, this case has been filed seeking necessary direction upon the concerned respondent, that is, West Bengal Board of Primary Education, in this regard.

In spite of service, no one appears for the respondent Board.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perusing the records, the Court finds it proper to dispose of this writ petition with the following directions, though in absence of the respondent:- i) Let the representation of the writ petitioner dated 13th August, 2019, as forwarded to the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education, vide letter of the Assistant Secretary of the Government of West Bengal School Education Department dated 24th July, 2017, be immediately considered and finally decided by the said addressee, by dint of a reasoned order.

ii) In doing so, the said respondent shall afford opportunity of hearing to the writ petitioner and complete the exercise as directed above, positively, within a period of fortnight's time from the date of communication of copy of this order.

With the direction as above, the writ petition is disposed of.

Since no affidavit is called for in this case, the allegations made in the writ petition, are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

Urgent certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be supplied to the parties, upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
