The petitioner says that he is in custody for ten months. Charge has not been framed. There are 24 charge sheet named witnesses. There is no possibility of an early conclusion of the trial. He prays for bail.

Learned State Counsel apprises us that two co-accused persons are absconding. That is why, charge could not be framed. The process of proclamation has been completed and steps will be taken in accordance with law to proceed with the trial.

We have seen the material in the case diary.

Eyewitnesses squarely implicate this petitioner in the alleged crime of gruesome murder.

In view of the aforesaid, we are not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer for bail, at this stage.

The prayer for bail is rejected.

CRM (DB) 3476 of 2024 is dismissed.
