Khan Mr. Ashok Das ... ... for the State Petitioner renews his prayer for bail. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is in custody for about 236 days. Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected earlier on merits. Dates for examination of prosecution witnesses have been fixed and there is substantial progress in the matter since the rejection of bail by this court. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is thus rejected.
