No. 29 KAUSHIK REJECTED C.R.M.(A) 5218 of 2022 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Suri Police Station Case No. 426 of 2022 dated 15.09.2022 under Sections 279/379/411/413/414/120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 read with Sections 11(1)(d)(e)(f) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act, 1960.

...... petitioners Mr. Sanjib Kumar Daan Mr. Saryati Dutta ....for the petitioners Mr. Rudradipta Nandy Ms. Sonali Das ....for the State Eight trucks containing cattle were intercepted by the police.

The petitioners are the owners of at least four of those trucks.

Complicity of the petitioners in the offences alleged appears from the materials in the case diary. In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 5218 of 2022 is dismissed.
