1. The claim of the petitioner is innocuous. The petitioner did several electrical works for the respondent authorities during an election and raised bills accordingly. However, despite the petitioner having made claims for the due amount, lastly on May 10, 2021, the respondent authorities are sitting tight over the issue.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent authorities, although not controverting the quantum of the claim on merits, submits that there have been certain official impediments in disbursing the amount to the petitioner.

3. Be that as it may, since the claim has not been disputed on principle, WPA No. 24166 of

is allowed, thereby directing the respondent no. 5 to disburse the amount due to the petitioner in terms of the petitioner's claim annexed at page 17 of the writ petition to the petitioner at the earliest, positively within six weeks from date.

4. The respondent no. 3 is directed to ensure that the funds for payment to the petitioner are released to the respondent no. 5 for such disbursal to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, positively within four weeks from the date of communication of this order to the respondent no. 3.

5. There will be no order as to costs.

6. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities. (Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.)
