His relevant marksheet describes the course as 'Home Science'. The certificate, however suggests that he passed the said examination in "Health Care, Dietetics". The petitioner is a registered nurse with the Karnataka State Nursing Council. His application for reciprocal registration under the West Bengal Nursing Council was denied on the ground that the petitioner does not have the required qualification in terms of the qualification prescribed for admission to the GNM Course by the Indian Nursing Council.

It appears that the issues involved in this writ petition are covered by the judgment dated December 7, 2023 passed in WPA 12092 of 2023 (Asmita

Bhakta Vs. The State of West Bengal & Ors.) whereby this Court directed the West Bengal Nursing Council to register the name of similarly circumstanced nurses.

In view of the aforesaid judgment passed by this Court, this writ petition stands allowed with a direction upon the West Bengal Nursing Council to register the name of the petitioner within a period of three weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Accordingly, WPA 24174 of 2023 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
