2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner's husband is the owner of the premises being X-5/E, Akra Road, Kolkata - 700 018 P.S. Nadial. The petitioner along with her family is residing in the said premises. She applied for a new domestic electricity connection being reference No.

14/19819/24. On the basis of the said application the respondent authorities sanctioned the electricity connection.

3. However, owing to the objection raised by respondent No. 4, the respondent authorities could not install the electric meter and energise the said connection. It is the submission of the petitioner that respondent No. 4 is a neighbor and he is raising frivolous objections for the installation of the electricity connection.

4. Hence, being aggrieved by the non grant of electricity connection, the petitioner has preferred the present writ petition.

5. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the petitioner had complied with all the necessary formalities and it is only due to the objections raised by the respondent No. 4, one of the neighbor of the petitioner, they are unable to install the electricity connection.

6. Learned counsel for the petitioner prays for a direction to respondent No. 3 to provide adequate Police protection while installing the electricity connection at the premises of the petitioner.

7. In view thereof, this Court hereby directs the respondent No. 3, the concerned Officer-in-charge, Nadial Police Station to provide adequate Police assistance at the cost of the petitioner to the respondent authorities to ensure the smooth installation of the electric meter and energisation of the electric connection qua the petitioner's premises.

8. With the above direction, the present writ petition is disposed of.

9. There will be no order as to costs.

10. Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
