Ms. Suparna Dutta ...for the petitioners Mr. Lalit Mohan Mahata, Mr. Asish Dutta, Ms. Somashree Dey ...for the State The petitioners challenge an eviction notice issued by the Executive Officer, Samserganj Panchayat Simity, in respect of shop rooms being occupied by the petitioners in the Samserganj Panchayat area. Subsequent to the filing of the writ petition, the petitioners have met the appropriate respondent authorities who have agreed to enhance the rent in respect of the shop rooms.

In view of the above, nothing survives in the writ petition. The petitioners are granted liberty to take steps in accordance with law as well as make necessary payments in terms of the proposal suggested by the respondent authorities if so advised and in accordance with law.

With the above directions, W.P.A. No. 24693 of 2022 stands disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of necessary formalities.
