On the perusal of the record it is noticed that the petitioner has raised the grievance that while preparing the list of beneficiaries of Rural Housing Scheme under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, pradhan of the Bally -I Gram Panchayet Gosaba excluded names of hundreds of persons who belong to the special category and were entitled to the benefit of the scheme.
Record further reflects that a representation dated 17th August, 2016 has been made to the BDO, Gosaba, South 24 Parganas.
The grievance of the petitioner was that no action on the said representation has been taken.
Learned counsel for the State has no objection if the representation is duly considered by the competent authority.
Hence, we dispose of the present petition by directing the respondent no.6, Block Development Officer, Gosaba to consider the grievance raised in the
representation dated 17th August, 2016 and also conduct an enquiry, if required and thereafter do the needful in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
Learned counsel for the State is directed to send a copy of this order to the respondent no.6 without any delay.
