Dutta ..for the State By filing the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks compassionate appointment on account of the death of his father, who served as a Gram Panchayat Karmee under Bhulaveda Gram Panchayat, Binpur-II Block, District Jhargram.

The petitioner submits that, by an order dated April 11, 2023, passed in WPA 8143 of 2022, a Coordinate Bench of this Hon'ble Court directed the respondent authorities to take an appropriate decision regarding the petitioner's claim for compassionate appointment and to communicate the same to him. However, it is submitted that the said order has not yet been complied with.

By filing the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks enforcement of the aforesaid order dated April 11, 2023, passed in WPA 8143 of 2022.

It appears that, subsequent to the order dated April 11, 2023, by a communication appearing at page 29 of the writ petition, the Block Development Officer, Binpur-II, forwarded the original copy of an affidavit sworn by the petitioner to the District Panchayat and Rural Development Department, respondent no. 5. It is alleged that no further steps have been taken thereafter.

In view of the foregoing, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the concerned authorities to ensure compliance with the order dated April 11, 2023, within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order.

Accordingly, WPA 24974 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
