APP Ms. Nandini Chatterjee ... for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that initially the case was registered under Sections 316(2)/318(4) of the BNSS, but, subsequently, Section 111 of the BNS, 2023 has been added.

According to the learned advocate, the wife of the present petitioner has been released on bail and, in other cases, the present petitioner has also been released on bail. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that number of cases is pending against the present petitioner. According to the learned advocate, the petitioner is carrying out money marketing scheme thereby duping the innocent investors.

Having considered that charge-sheet is yet to be submitted, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

Accordingly, CRM(M) 2183 of 2025 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
