1. The petitioners complain of being defrauded. They have applied before the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority for allotment of plots of land. The petitioners succeeded and made payment and allotment letters have been issued after registration of conveyance.

2. It is subsequently found that the lands do not exist. They have complained to the Patuli Police Station and complaint is aggrieved by inaction.

3. It appears from the report of the police that four several FIRs being Nos.236 of 2022 dated 9th November, 2022, 242 of 2022 dated 17th November, 2022, 244 of 2022 dated 19th November, 2022 and 47 of 2022 dated 8th March, 2022 have been registered.

4. It is ordered that the investigation into the aforesaid FIRs be completed mandatorily and positively within a period of two months from date.

5. The report of the Patuli Police Station dated 12th December, 2022 in the form of instructions addressed to the State Advocate be taken on record.

6. With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

7. There will be no order as to costs.

8. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
