Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Paschim Bardhaman, respondent no. 3 in utter disregard to the direction given by the Hon'ble High Court has not considered the applications of the petitioners from 29th June, 2018. He relies on page 38 of the writ petition where the Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Purba Bardhaman has requested the respondent no. 3 to consider the application of the petitioners but till date, no action has been taken by the respondent no. 3. Mr. Banerjee, learned Counsel appearing for the State is present.

Heard both the parties.

I request the Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Paschim Bardhaman to consider the application of the petitioners as mentioned in page-38 of the writ petition.

Learned advocate-on-record of the petitioners is requested to serve a copy of the writ petition along with a copy of this order to the respondent no. 3 who will consider the applications of the petitioners positively within 6 (six) weeks from date, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and allow them to produce necessary documents at the time of hearing.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the writ petition. All the issues are left open to be decided by the respondent no. 3.

Since no affidavits have been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.
