Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for about 57 days and he has been implicated on the basis of the statement of coaccused. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, submits that investigation of the case is in progress and the petitioner has been taken into custody pursuant to the statement of the co-accused.

Having regard to the fact that intermediate quantity of brown sugar has been recovered from the co-accused and the investigation in respect of the present petitioner is still in progress, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail at

this stage. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

The application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 1402 of 2025, is, thus, dismissed.
