The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher at Mahisashthali Primary School, a school under Dhuliyan Circle of DPSC, Murshidabad.

The petitioner is praying general transfer on the ground that the school is far away from his residence, as such he is unable to take care of his ailing wife, who is suffering from gynecological problems, besides he has a 7 year old child, who requires the guidance of his father.

The Council has already filed a report regarding the PTR of the schools of the district, wherefrom it appears that the school of the petitioner has an enrollment of 601 students with 5 Teachers and one Headmaster, the PTR therefore is 100.17. The school already is in acute shortage of teachers, as such, the prayer of the petitioner cannot be entertained at this stage, besides the grounds for transfer are not much convincing. WPA 25267 of 2024 therefore is dismissed without any order as to costs.
