Petitioner is in custody for about four years. He submits he has no connection with the offence of trafficking women for sexual exploitation.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail. He submits petitioner is the joint owner of the house where prostitution was being carried on. 3.

We have considered the materials on record.

Petitioner is the joint owner of a house where prostitution was being carried on. Offences involves trafficking of women for sexual exploitation. In view of the nature of crime which has far reaching social implications and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. 4.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

Trial Court is requested to expedite the trial and conclude the same preferably within a year from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. (Gaurang Kanth, J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
