The petitioner claims to be the owner of L.R. Plot No.1033, J.L. No.68 within Mouza-Guaberia under Police Station-Karimpur in the District of Nadia.

The petitioner claims to have purchased the aforesaid plot of land by virtue of the Registered Deed of Conveyance from one Sri Niranjan Mondal. The petitioner claims that his name has duly recorded in the Record of Rights. The petitioner states that the men and agents of the respondent authorities were conducting measurement of plot of land and some persons are engaged for making construction.

The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the respondent authorities are trying to utilize the property of the petitioner without initiating any appropriate proceedings for requisition and/or acquisition. The petitioner has submitted a representation dated

September 20, 2025 before various authorities including the Land Acquisition Collector, Nadia being the respondent No.2.

State is represented by its learned advocate. He submitted that in the representation it has been specifically stated that the property has not been acquired. However, the petitioner claims that the work of measurement and construction is going on at the property of the petitioner.

Without entering into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in the representation dated September 20, 2025, WPA 24838 of 2025 stands disposed of by directing the Land Acquisition Collector, Nadia being the respondent No.2 to consider the representation dated September 20, 2025 and to dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order which shall be communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order along with a copy of the representation dated September 20, 2025.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Hiranmay Bhattacharyya, J.)
