The petitioner's prayer seeking transfer from Bagdoba Primary School in Garhbeta East Circle, Paschim Medinipur to Jahalda Circle in Paschim Medinipur on the ground of being a surplus teacher in the school forwarded by the SubInspector of School, Garhbeta East Circle to the Chairman, District Primary School Council, Paschim Medinipur on September 10, 2025 along with no objection of his transfer is pending disposal before the Chairman, District Primary School Council, Paschim Medinipur.

Learned counsel for the petitioner relies on the communication dated August 5, 2025 made by the Additional Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, School Education Department, Elementary Education Branch to all the Chairpersons of the District Primary School

Councils mentioning that necessary measure may be taken for offline intra-district transfer and posting of primary teachers to the zero teacher/single teacher primary schools as per requirement.

Prayer has been made to direct the Chairman, DPSC to take a decision on the petitioner's application seeking transfer.

Upon hearing the parties and on perusal of the documents placed before this Court, the instant writ petition stands disposed of by directing the Chairman, District Primary School Council, Paschim Medinipur to take a decision on the petitioner's prayer seeking transfer in accordance with the prevailing rules and guidelines at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner.

If the petitioner's application seeking transfer is allowed, then necessary consequential steps shall be taken by the authority without any further delay.

Learned counsel for the petitioner shall forward all supporting documents to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating this order.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
