Kausik (Rejected) CRM (NDPS) 1379 of 2025 In Re: An Application for Bail under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Kaliachak Police Station Case No. 430 of 2024 dated 07.04.2024 under sections 21(c)/25/27A/29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 1 year and 7 months and the trial till date has not been concluded.

Learned advocate for the State on the other hand takes an exception and states that evidence of the prosecution witnesses have been completed. The examination of the accused under section 313 of Cr.P.C. is fixed on 20.11.2025. Having regard to the advance stage of the proceedings, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 1379 of 2025 is dismissed. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
